Terms of Service

Evict sells advertising placement on a public leaderboard. A slot is a position on that board. Holding a slot displays your listing there.

Slots are held under a self-assessed pricing model. You declare a price for the slot you hold, you pay rent of 5% of that declared price per day, and your declared price is a standing offer: any other user may purchase the slot from you at that price at any time, without your further consent.

By claiming a slot you agree that your declared price is a binding, continuously open offer to sell that slot.

You fund a prepaid balance, minimum $10 per top-up. Rent, claim fees and purchases are deducted from it. We do not charge your payment method for individual actions.

Your balance has two parts. Cash is money you paid in. Credit is money you received from a slot being purchased from you. Credit is not redeemable for cash and cannot be withdrawn, transferred or assigned. It may only be spent within Evict.

When you spend, credit is used before cash.

When another user purchases your slot at your declared price, you receive 90% of that price as credit and we retain 10%.

A slot cannot be purchased for ten minutes after it changes hands. A price change is announced publicly and takes effect sixty seconds later. A displayed purchase price is honoured for ninety seconds.

If your balance reaches zero, you have a six-hour grace period. If it is still zero at the end of that period, your holdings are released and your listing is removed from the board. Your listing and account are not deleted and you may reclaim a slot later.

You are responsible for the content and destination of any URL you list. You must have the right to advertise it. See our Acceptable Listings policy.

We may remove, suspend or refuse any listing at our discretion, including for the reasons described in that policy. Where we remove a listing that is not in breach, we will refund the remaining cash balance attributable to it.

We do not guarantee traffic, clicks, conversions, uptime, or any particular level of visibility. Board traffic varies and may decline.

The service is provided as-is. To the extent permitted by law, our total liability to you is limited to the cash amount you paid us in the ninety days before the claim.

We may change the rent rate, the platform's share of a purchase, or floor prices. Material changes will be announced in advance, and existing holdings may be grandfathered at their original rate at our discretion.
